Updated Sidewalk Repair Schedule

Due to the rain last week the curb and sidewalk repairs in the Hampton Commons neighborhood were delayed.

The Curb repairs have almost been completed and Covington Street neighbors may resume parking in your assigned spots when the cones have been removed (expected on Monday, 4/8).

The Sidewalk repairs have begun for our Covington Street neighbors and will continue throughout the entire Hampton Commons neighborhood (Covington, Vosger and Omar) on Monday through Wednesday (4/8 to 4/10), weather permitted. During this time there are no parking restrictions, however it is recommended that you move your cars during the day to avoid damage.

Updated Curb Repair (and Parking Restriction) Schedule

Thank you for your patience as we try to schedule neighborhood repairs with the springtime weather. With every rainy day comes another delay in the curb/sidewalk repair schedule. Hopefully today is the last day of this storm!

Curb repair is now expected to occur Thrusday, April 4th – Friday, April 5th. Once the curb repair is completed (expected on Friday) you may resume parking in your assigned spots. Please be mindful of the cones and allow plenty of space to ensure the fresh concrete is not damage.

POSTPONED: Sidewalk/Curb Repair

Unfortunately due to the forecasted weather, curb repair has been postponed by two days and is now expected to begin Wednesday, April 3rd.  Hampton Commons, Covington Street residents may resume parking in your assigned spots through 7am on Wednesday.

Curb repair is now expected to occur Wednesday, April 3rd – Friday, April 5th. No parking along the sidewalk spots during that time. Towing will be enforced. All other information remains the same.

Sidewalk/Curb Repair

Our neighborhood sidewalk and curbs are getting repaired! Work is expected to begin Monday April 1, and continue for 6-7 days (weather permitting). This post (and email sent to owners) serves as notice to plan ahead as residents that live on Covington Street will need to move their cars during a portion of this time.

April 1-3 — work will be dedicated to repairing curbs — alternative parking is required for residents that live on Covington Street

April 4-7 — work will be dedicated to repairing sidewalks — all residents can park in your assigned spots, however we recommend moving cars during the day to avoid damage.

Residents living on Covington Street must have their cars moved by 7AM on Monday, April 1st. This parking restriction will continue through 5PM on Wednesday, April 3 (or until curb work is complete). Towing will be enforced at the owner’s expense if your car is preventing curb work from being completed.  Residents that live on Vosger and Omar may park in your assigned spot during this entire project, however it is recommended that you move your cars during the day (8am -5pm) on April 4-7 as heavy machinery will be in close vicinity and may cause unwanted damage.

We are working with Federal Reality to offer parking in the Pan Am back parking lot as an option for all residents. Further details will be provided in flyers distributed next week (placed on doors and mailed to owners) with detailed information about this project, parking restrictions and alternative parking options. Please keep an eye out for those.

Lastly if any resident is interested in getting their personal walkway repair (cost would be paid by the homeowner) please contact the individual listed below for an estimate. C&N construction is a concrete and masonry contractor so in addition to concrete steps, porches and walkways, they also work with stone, brick and pavers for patios, walls and more. Here is the contact information to schedule an appointment early next week for work to be completed during the same timeframe (April 1-7):
