Repaving – July 9th 7am – July 11th 12:00pm

PARKING BAYS WILL BE CLOSED FROM

July 9th 7am – July 11th 5:00pm

Why are we repaving now?:

We’re planning to resurface the asphalt on the parking bays along Covington Street, Vosger, and Omar Court. While the surface currently appears in decent condition, it’s reaching the end of its lifespan (15 years generally). Tackling the project now will be more cost-effective than waiting.

Each parking bay has 4 inches of asphalt. Fortunately, the base layer remains in good shape, so we’ll only need to mill and replace the top 2 inches. Delaying this work would likely lead to more cracks and potholes, eventually requiring us to remove and replace the entire base layer—a much more expensive fix.

You will be required to do the following:

  • No cars can be in the Parking Bays during the following times:
    • Starting Wednesday, July 9th,7:00am
    • Ending Friday, July 11th, 5:00pm.
  • No heavy trucks or moving vans should use the parking bays till July 14th
  • Dates may shift if there are scheduling or weather delays. We will notify you with additional flyers if there are any weather delays or rescheduling.
